A Quick Note On My Recent Absence

Some readers may be aware that Flyermiles is a beloved side project for me – in my ‘other’ life, I’m a technical director for rock-concert tours. Obviously, it’s been an unusual couple of years for both the concert-touring and travel industries, and as the pandemic ended, both have gone from “completely shut down” to “so busy we can’t see straight”.
As a result, I’ve been absolutely swamped, I haven’t been publishing here nearly as much as I’d like, and I've had to suspend my award-booking service for the indefinite future.
Flyermiles has never been intended as a source for breaking news on the travel industry; I publish when I feel I’ve got something useful to offer. That said, in nearly 200,000 miles travelled this year, I’ve got a folder full of photos and some well-earned down time, and I’m looking forward to getting caught up on sharing those experiences with you.
As always, I frequent FlyerTalk and Reddit’s air-travel forums to share conversation and offer quick bits of advice, feel free to reach out on those forums.
